WHY I THINK YOU SHOULD START A DAILY GRATITUDE JOURNAL.

What is Gratitude? Gratitude is the quality of being thankful, readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

Thanksgiving is the day for giving thanks, but it doesn’t have to be one day. Being thankful boosts your positive mindset especially when you practice it every day; so why limit giving thanks to just one day?

Being grateful opens the door for more relationships, improves your sleep and also boosts self-esteem; but you have to appreciate the joy of seeing the good in something or someone– that mentality boosts both your happiness and motivation.

A daily gratitude habit – such as keeping a gratitude journal – can help you connect with your sense of inner peace, when you need it the most. You have to keep your mind open, making room for the good memories, not the bad ones. There’s always something new to discover and be thankful for.

Gratitude is more than just saying thank you. It is about appreciating what you have and the value of your experiences– thankfulness requires genuine appreciation. Most people are unhappy because they don’t appreciate their goodness. Provide room and attention to positive events.

A Gratitude Journal Has Many Benefits.

  1. Makes us happier: if you focus on what good in your life rather than what’s bad, you’re most likely to feel positive about your life.
  1. It enhances our positive emotions: “feeling grateful every day keeps envy at bay!” besides, if we are grateful for what we have what room does envy have?
  2. By writing what you’re grateful for, you realise what you want more in your life.
  3. Enhances optimism
  4. Your gratitude journal is a journey to increase your self-awareness.

I hope this post has convinced you to start a gratitude journal. I really think you should because it has helped a lot, I see the world in a more positive way now.
